Hi, I’m Lucy Smith — a fully qualified and insured holistic equine massage therapist with a lifelong passion for horse health and wellbeing.

My journey with horses began when I was just 10 years old, and it was clear from the start that I shared a love with these incredible animals. That early spark led me to study Equine Studies at Sparsholt College, where I discovered a passion : equine rehabilitation.

I went on to train under the highly respected Laura Stickley at Centaur Equine Massage Training in Worcester — a UK Rural Skills accredited institution — where I achieved a Distinction in my final examinations. This intensive, hands-on program equipped me with a wide range of techniques, including sports massage, trigger point therapy, release therapy, and fascial edging.
I’ve had the privilege of working with horses of all breeds and temperaments, addressing a variety of musculoskeletal challenges and helping them move more freely, comfortably, and confidently. My calm, intuitive approach allows me to build trust quickly and tailor each treatment to the horse’s unique needs.

For over two years, I worked at a leading Equine Rehabilitation Facility in Surrey, where I was deeply involved in the care of horses undergoing both long-term and day treatments. This experience gave me invaluable insight into advanced rehabilitation methods and the transformative impact of therapeutic massage.

While I’ve never been drawn to the competitive riding scene, my heart lies in animal welfare — making a real difference in the lives of the horses I treat. When I’m not working, you’ll find me out hacking with Pedro, my beloved Belgian Warmblood, or cheering on friends at competitions.
Whether your horse needs help recovering from injury, maintaining peak performance, or simply enjoying a more comfortable life, I’m here to help — with skill, compassion, and a genuine love for what I do.
